Something big happening?
Randi is talking about something big, but she's going to triple check it before she reports it. She says "all hell is breaking loose" in the studio. Anyone know what that's about?

N. Korea says it's on the brink of nuclear war with us. She's reading it from ABC on-line.

But-but-but
but they don't have any oil, so they're not on the "axis of evil list", so that can't be true!!!

GOD HELP US ALL if it IS true, because the Boy King has no fucking clue what to do about anything, and his neocon handlers just want to blow everyone away anyway.

5. Pre-Emptive Nuclear Strike on North Korea by US if I'm hearing
Edited on Fri Apr-09-04 05:22 PM by SCRUBDASHRUB
Randi Rhodes correctly.

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_asiapacific/view/79459/1/.html

SEOUL : North Korea said Friday the standoff over its atomic ambitions was on the brink of nuclear war as US Vice President Dick Cheney headed to the region for talks with key Asian allies.

The Stalinist state's official news agency accused Washington of "driving the military situation on the Korean peninsula to the brink of a nuclear war" with plans for a pre-emptive strike on North Korea.

19. agreed
Its one thing to have the weapons, its another to be able to deliver them. They can threaten and attack our allies in the region, but they can't touch us here.

I feel so much safer knowing that Shrub is at the helm. He must have been the Captain of the Titanic in a former life.

9. To be honest, I don't know why this would be such a huge deal..

North Korea periodically comes out with these kinds of statements. Not that I am trying to downplay it, but that's the truth.

11. With the U.S.
It says that we've been positioning ourselves for a pre-emptive strike in the peninsula, and N. Korea says they have to rachet up their nukes, because of our position.

We're in trouble here folks.

Bush has been dying to drop a nuke ....probably since he was a kid, but definitely since he's taken over the white house. He's been sliding around his ranch, while our boys in the water are positioning our nukes toward N. Korea.

Not to worry....they're sending Cheney, who started the PNAC problem to begin with.

... I truly believe that if Bush* were crazy enough to drop a nuke, the military would tell him to go fuck himself.

It is not going to happen.

24. Maybe with themselves? . . .
Like Clevon Little's character in Blazing Saddles, stick a gun to their own head and threaten to blow themselves away if we take a step closer.

Damn fools threatened too many times. I refuse to get involved. Plenty of other valid disasters on the planet than to worry about a bunch of second-rate stalinists with a low-grade device. Oh, sure, they'll be involved in the destruction of the world, but like most of us as simple witnesses.

Cheney is over there trying to brief asian allies on a possible pre-emtive strike on the known nuclear facilities in North Korea, particularly China, who might get a bit edgy if the U.S. sents a a few dozen cruise missiles into North Korea to destroy the reprocessing reactors and storage facilities for any bombs the North may have built.

An article indicates that the N. Korea is threatening.

31. Well, if that fucker
did indeed do that, then I haven't heard anything from the mainstream media at all. Which just goes to show you what whores they really are! Can you imagine if a DEM had said that (like a member of Clinton's WH), or if NK had threatened a preemptive strike on US?

34. Fascinating assumptions
Read down this thread and look at all the people saying, "Oh, that little Korean peckerwood! What's he think he's going to do?"

The assumption being that lil' Kim Jong Il is threatening the great USofA. Silly rabbit!

Then, wayyyy down at the bottom, we get to the truth of the matter which is: He's reacting to threats made by the USofA. Sometimes it works that way. More now than it used to.

He's not saying he's about to attack. He's saying he's about to be attacked. He just might be right.
