Third Reich in Ruins (photos)
If you've ever been to Germany, perhaps stationed there or visiting, you may find these before and after photos of interest.

1. Incredible photos.
Having spent time in Krakow, PL I had many opportunities to walk around WWII ruins. To have the pre-WWII photos along with the current is a great snapshot of history.

I think the guy running it is just a tad queer though. He keeps the "This page makes no political statements. Presentation of these sites here should in no way be taken as glorification, promotion, or honoring of Nazi ideals. The photos are presented here purely for historical study." disclaimer all over the site but his cutesy NRA Logo at the bottom of the page is telling...

Oh, and in Florida too, great:eyes:

2. Berlin destruction
War is anathema, but Germany got what was coming to them. Dragging the allies all over Europe for that Nazi bullshit....

3. You gotta hand it to Europe
The thing that most intrigues me about Europe is how they hold on to historical buildings in a way that is utterly foreign in America. The sites today look remarkably similar to how they looked during Hitler's reign. If those sites had been in America, we'd be seeing pictures of Wal-Marts and Dairy Queens and Blockbuster Video stores and strip malls in the "present" photos!

4. I have many friends in Wurzburg
and I saw what happened to that beautiful city in 1945. What's odd is that if you saw the city today you would have no clue that it was bombed flat just a few decades ago.
