Bush: "Not up to the job"
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3449870/

Jeebus Christmas, how do they stand there and listen to this scary charlatan? I’ve heard athletes who never got out of high school evince more complexity of thought 10 minutes after losing a playoff game. And without notes, too.

“I have some must-calls.”

You’re the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES – Excuse the shouting -- and you have to follow a script written down by the unelected hacks in the West Wing because, without it, somebody might ask you a question beyond the scope of the 15 or 20 cliches you brought into the room? To embroider a line from a truly great Texan, Dan Jenkins, if he had a brain, he’d be on the South Lawn playing with it. I no longer care whether or not he’s dumber than a bag of hammers, or whether he’s uneducated or uncurious, or whether he’s simple and plain or arrogant and foolish. What is plain is that he’s not up to this job.

1. That's fabulous
thank you for posting this. This should be required reading for everyone who goes into a voting booth.

Sadly, even this latest fumbling bumbling idiocy by the chimp is not going to turn many people against him. Apparently many Americans really do want a dumb person for President.

13. WHAT exit poll numbers?
You think they're gonna allow exit polls? Don't you remember 2002, when the killed them off because they conflicted with the Dieboldized count?

17. Didn't hear/know about that
I think it would be pretty impossible to prevent exit poll numbers for a presidential election. That might be taking paranoia to a new level.

4. It's scary indeed; who does this little cretin think he's fooling?
his blatant weaseling out of direct questions just proves the fact of his cowardly incompetence.

5. I wish I had seen the press conference!
Why does NOBODY call him on his utter buffoonery? Why can't reporters just say "The President appeared confused and incoherent." ???

8. The GOP has connections everywhere. Those reporters are in fear
of losing their jobs should the wrong sentence/phrase escape their lips/keyboard.

This is what the Pubs have done to wreck America, wreck our Freedom of the Press. When the TRUTH gets stifled/Managed/Distorted/etc by the Media we are on a very slippery slope.

The REpublican Party is not the Party of Goldwater/Rudman anymore. Its the NeoCons who rule. They use Fear, Intimidation, and even go so far as Brown shirt shit.

This is why reporters are in fear. But lately, the mice come out, the brave ones who don't know anybetter that is. They peek out and ask questions as we saw at the PC only to be evaded and ignored.

God, help us poor sheep, the sheperd has gone to the restroom and the foxes are in the pasture.

14. Since when do reporters care about their jobs?
I thought they were all about the truth. Am I being hopelessly naive?

18. I will mention FOX and their Pub Dream Team
These guys are whores, blatant ones at that

The print media where truthful journalism is usually fount has been cowed for the most part, hence soft questions.no questions.

The Fear is there.

What a brilliant turn of phrase. I'll have to steal that one.

By the way, Charles Pierce = Charlie Pierce of "Only a Game?"
