3. "Not Gullible" said the attack would be around 3:00 PM
I think the only diaster so far has been those colliding trains in Penn Station...which wasn't too bad since nobody died.

4. well
there's a crazy conspiracy nut here who uses numerology to indicate that there will be an attack today on the Sears Tower. It's nonsense.

HOWEVER....

today *IS* the anniversary of the bombing in Oklahoma City, which in turn was the anniversary of the Branch Davidian/Waco tragedy. So for those nutjobs who want to honor anniversaries, today could mean something.

Tomorrow is Hitler's birthday, which is also a day to be concerned about where the wingnuts are involved.

5. my son's birthday is today
I did explain that some bad things have happened on his birthday, but that good things have happened also. Like he came along! :) As far as it being Hitler's b-day, I didn't tell him that one. That is not the favorite person to share your b-day with! Plus Columbine was this day as well, right? Sigh.

You DO have SOME good company.

She's a wonderful, unique person, and hates the Shrubbery as much as we do.

6. This is the date that right-wing freepers attack, not Al Qaeda
Edited on Mon Apr-19-04 12:37 PM by atre
This is the anniversary of the Ruby Ridge disaster during the Bush I Administration in 1992 (although the Freepers always blame Janet Reno; she wasn't in office then).

Ruby Ridge
Waco
Oklahoma City

7. No...
Ruby Ridge occurred in August, 92. The end of the Waco standoff occurred on April 19, 1993.
