Judge Allows Gary Condit's Lawsuit Against Domenick Dunne
I, for one, am glad Condit is suing.

It's time for all of the overblown conjucture and speculations to end -- whether it be against/about Condit, Gore or Kerry.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A former U.S. congressman won a round in court on Tuesday when a federal judge refused to dismiss a slander suit accusing columnist Dominick Dunne of wrongfully implicating the ex-lawmaker in the disappearance of murdered intern Chandra Levy.

U.S. District Judge Peter Leisure ruled that Gary Condit's slander claims over statements Dunne made in 2002 on "The Laura Ingraham Show," Entertainment Tonight Online, "Larry King Live," and at celebrity dinner parties would remain in the case.

He did, however, dismiss claims made about statements Dunne, an author and columnist for Vanity Fair, made to the Boston Herald and USA Today.

Leisure said that Dunne "did not merely comment on a public controversy, but also added false assertions of fact to the public controversy.

2. Good!!!
It's about time someone nailed Dunne. I used to like him, but when he put out that stuff about Chandra being taken away on a motorcycle by Condit's Arab friends and dumped out of a plane in the middle of the Atlantic, I figured he'd lost it.

Too bad Condit doesn't sue Connie Chung, too.

Seems that Condit's only crime was to be unlikeable and refusing to play the media game. I have to wonder whether the Levys have faced reality.

hi Cat!

I used to like Dominick, too.

I remember when his daughter was murdered -- it was so sad.

You would think he learned something from that experience.

3. I love how the media refuses to acknowledge his innocence..

It was a daily bloodlust for him every day for weeks....and than when they found ger body and realized she was killed by some nutcase while jogging...they just dropped it and never corrected their stories.

The media in this country is fucking evil.
