I think the problem goes up to the Commander in Chief, who doesn't mind that most Iraquis arrested by American soldiers have hoods put over their heads.

That humiliating treatment at the time of arrest leads to worse treatment in custody.

14. In the thread I saw at FR was mixed

about 1/4 were as outraged as we are
1/4 were appalled & wanted these sickos held accountable for endangering the lives of US troops and US prisoners
1/4 thought it was permissible
1/4 thought it was no worse than a frat party and that people were making a big fuss about nothing.

I give credit to the first 2 groups.

They are not all bad people... The first 2 groups are mostly uninformed people who are decent.

The last two? Send them to the families of the victims of these crimes; send group number 4 first to give group number three time to hone up on the Geneva Convention.
