Am i missing something here?
Edited on Sat May-01-04 10:14 AM by historian
Let me see if I can understand this. B* steals the white house, authorized by an illegal act of the supreme court; pisses off the entire world and most of the population with his dismissal of treaties etc; goes away for a month only to return to announce that Hussein is a terrible threat and has to go (wasnt he a terrible threat before b* left for his "vacation")He and his criminal cabal began to lie mislead and deceive everyone (i never believed a word of this from day one)He then told the UN they were irrelevant and we wre going in anyway.
When the iraquis refuse to bend over, our erstwhile leader scurries back to the UN to ask for help. In the meantime, we are entering another cycle of enormous deficits and debts (something the ordinary cretin seems unable to comprehend will affect him and family for a long long time; the cabal shells out huge sums of money to "campaign contributors" and lo and behold, Halliburton steps in once again and is found overcharging (stealing). In the meantime Ken Lay and others who have destroyed thousands of lives are living in luxury and nothing is being done (could B have anything to do with this?).AFghanistan is falling into chaos and soldiers continue to die there (hello media?)In the meantime, B refuses to release docs referring to the events leading up to 9/11 (except for the cia report with the parts alluding to the Saudis blacked out; refuses to allow a commission to investigate till the situation threatened his chances of re election and now, in a further kick in the ass to the population whom he holds in such contempt, he allows himself to be interviewed by a hand picked few, with no transcripts recordings allowed etc...
HOw is it possible for the average citizen not to feel anger over the stench coming out of this WH? All right lets give them the benefit of the doubt - they are too stupid to understand the facts but surely they must feel something at being treated in such a cavalier fashion by the fascists in the WH??
Oh well if there is another life pls send me to another planet.

4. very true
I sometimes look at the eyes of shoppers in some stores and they are all vague and empty - they are only in the stores so they can feel better by buying something they dont want or need

10. Yes, the most advanced propaganda machine in history
US did not hire those nazis for nothing, nor did they spend billion$ over a century without a return on their investment,

Their lesson from Vietnam was to control the media, not to

avoid b.s. wars.

5. Logic! Ha, we don't need no stinkin' logic!
Disabuse yourself of any notion that logic reigns supreme in this administration. It's necessary to remind oneself at all times that the operating principles for this administration come directly from fundamentalist Xianity.

Here is the key phrase: Walk by faith, not by sight.

As an ex-fundamentalist I can assure you that reason or logic will not stand in the way. Within the fundy mindset there is a disdain for the intellect and an emphasis on the spiritual, or more precisely, a desire to be "led by the Spirit".

With the intellect removed nothing remains but emotion. This, then, is determined to be the "spirit" and actions are taken thusly. Whatever Bush feels in "his heart of hearts" will guide the goals.

If you thought Nancy Reagan's dabbling in horoscopes was bad, this is much worse. Many Americans believe the way Bush does and they are eagerly awaiting the Rapture/Apocalypse. Bush can do no wrong because he is guided by God. What you have listed as failures are not viewed as such by the "believers".

Bush's believers will gargle, drink and bathe in the KoolAid.

7. If you figure it out let us know.
I am totally mystified also. Maybe the country is having a mass hallucination. We just need to find the right anti-psychotic medication and put it in the water.
