MSNBC: "Rumsfeld says Iraq hostility has been a surprise"...but...
Edited on Sat May-01-04 06:08 PM by Bush_Eats_Beef
"...defense chief defends decision to go to war."

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4871859/

OK, so here's my point for posting this. Sorry if the article is a dupe, hopefully the comment isn't.

If the MAJOR defense that Bush and company have against 9-11 happening on their watch is "Clinton's Penis," what is your first impression after reading this:

"WASHINGTON - The United States was not prepared for the extent of hostility against U.S.-led coalition forces in Iraq, in part because prewar intelligence was "all over the lot" on what to expect after the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld said in an hour-long interview on MSNBC's "Hardball" Thursday night."

Does this mean that THREE YEARS INTO OFFICE, the evil Bill Clinton is STILL responsible for worldwide terra? Is he STILL preventing the "intelligence" community from doing their jobs and keeping 'murcans safe?

Or, to consider another possibility, did the Bush administration fuck up and position us to be on the losing end of WWIII? Was U.S. "intelligence"...ahem..."all over the lot" because of William Jefferson Clinton's Penis?

But WAIT...if you are worried that Rummy is losing any sleep over what's going on in the middle east right now, rest assured:

"Yet, despite the bloodiest month in terms of U.S. casualties since the war began, Rumsfeld said he had no regrets about ousting Saddam."

That's kinda nice, ain't it? Kinda warm and fuzzy and makes you want to go to the local pet store and just hug some puppies. "No regrets."

Motherf**ker.

And by the way, I miss Clinton...with ALL his flaws...so much I can't articulate it. In his first year of office he and Gore came to speak at a community center on MY STREET in Silicon Valley. I had to very nicely ask the police, after showing my I.D., to let me drive down the street to get to my own home.

Edited for spelling...and I was an English major too, dammit...:-)

1. I agree. Its almost like parallel universes, this one and that. But then,
Rumsfeld said that soldiers were fungible. Sorry bastard. He's going to burn in hell. This is the ONLY time I believe in hell, when I see people like him.

2. I'm amazed people aren't still ranting about the "fungible" comment.

3. Here, let me try.
We (they) just had no idea at all that if we (they), a vocal and highly visible right-wing-proclaimed Christian Nation, invaded a Moslem nation, that maybe just an itty-bitty FEW "insurgents/dissidents/former Ba'athists/street criminals/thugs" might ...um...RESENT it?

unh hunh

Nossir.
Even though our Fearless Leader* originally characterized this ill begotten excursion as a "crusade", how on Earth could we (they) be expected to foresee this COMPLETELY unexpected turn of events.

"We have to be right (no pun intended, but go ahead if ya gotta) 100% of the time, but THEY only have to get it right once/gassed his own people/Weapons of Mass Destruction/programs of WMDs/plans for programs of WMDs/Saddam was a bad man/John Kerry would still have him in power/isn't America safer now?/ugga-mugga-bugga-barf-retch-puke.
:puke:

I have to go lie down now.
