2. That with those acts
US credibility was damaged, and *we* are humiliated. I've been hearing that from pundits to, and wonder "What US credibility?" I think the Chimp destroyed that long ago.

3. Michael Ramirez is nothing more than RW wing-nut
I truly miss Robert Conrad in the Los Angeles Times. Now we have to stomach Michael Ramirez and his spin on matters in the opinion section.

6. Right, even a rabid RWer cartoonist like Ramirez has a hard time
drinking the Kool-Aid on this one and knows it's bad, bad, bad for the U.S.

8. Still this is from a point of view
1) We hear about torture, and we as a group are aghast.

2) Some of RW wing-nuts hear about torture and they think it is about time that we use it.

This cartoon can go both ways depending as to how you look at it!

9. Point well taken
This guy is a vicious screaming reactionary without a qualm or a scruple about the extremity of his vilification of the left. For him to break ranks and show a cartoon that points out that we're in trouble on the world stage is quite a momentous turn.

Remember when the Right Wing went after him because they were too stupid to understand that his riff on the famous Vietnam photo was an attack on leftists, not a threat against the President?

During the '02 election, he had a cartoon where Junior was the pilot of a two-seater biplane, and Daschle was in the gunner's position pointing the ring-gun at the back of the Junior's head.

10. Yep. He knows it's bad.
I can remember one or two others where he
broke with his usual form of incoherent "conservativism".

11. I think he's trying to say that Bush has crossed the line.
And that we've lost all credibility and moral standing internationally. The RWingers are getting fed up. Remember, they've got businesses and corporate interests overseas too. Bush is f*cking with their pocketbook now.

13. Our credibility has now been clothed
in the image of a tortured POW. What we could have been is under the cloak. Notice the starsand stripes.

can't write this off as 'garden-variety' frat hazing...
