How the Iraq occupation could be ended immediately

If either of these two things happened, the Iraq debacle would be over tomorrow.

1) OPEC announces a total embargo of oil sales to the US until such time as all American forces had withdrawn from Iraq.

2) OPEC announces that they will begin to price oil in euros rather than dollars in response to the US occupation of Iraq.

It would have already happened. Every other member of OPEC hates our guts.

But the news alone won't get us out of iraq. The US government going bankrupt and not able to fund its deficit caused by the Iraqi invasion well be what drives us out of Iraq

One of the real reasons that Bush invaded Iraq was that Saddam had said he was planning to accept payment for oil in Euros and not US dollars.
