Poll question: Should President Bush apologize to the Iraqi Nation?
As the Head Cheese, he is ultimately responsible for this torture shit.
If he knew, didn't know, don't matter. As a matter of Statesmanship, he should apologize period.

And it make things, the good ole American way, Pay out big bucks to those prisoners we abused. Say, $1,000,000 each

That would go a very Long Way in righting this horrible travesty.

4. I think any apology would ring hollow
and would seem like a mockery.

3. As much chance of that as Hitler apologizing to the Jews
EXACTLY the same chance.

Exactly.

0%.

5. He should resign
This administration's handling of this war has been a total disaster.

He should do the world a favor and go back to Texas. Just stay on the bus and have the driver do a detour to Crawford. He could be dropped off in his driveway.

6. And then he should resign
And he should turn the government over to Bill Clinton until the election. And he and Cheney then voluntarily go to the big house to await trial. And then Osama Bin Ladin should surrender to American Troops for trial.

But none of that is likely to happen.

Bryant

8. I bet $1000 and $1000 to your favorite charity that he will never utter
a straight up apology for this. Not one of those sidewinding apologies.

12. No one bets on sure things
MrBenchley, is Bob Boudelang going to talk about this in next week's Rebuttal?

He should apologize and turn himself in to the Hague. He will blame this on the Clenis.

11. He will never apologize
He doesn't think he's done anything wrong! Even if the whole country dissolved into anarchy and chaos tomorrow, he would blame: the media, the liberals, France, Spain, and anyone who didn't support him.

15. I picked answer number three!
Edited on Tue May-04-04 02:43 PM by Hubert Flottz
Because, I don't want the SOB to change a thing! That way he will be TOAST in November for sure!

Herr Bushmeister reminds me of People's Commissioner 'George Leroy Tirebiter'(Dog Killer)who said, "Vote for me, because I never lie and I'm Always right! I promise If I'm Elected, I'll make sure Everyone is persecuted to the fullest extent of the law!" I wish Ralph would just haul off and run for Bush's VP instead of Dauntless Dick! Ralph has got to be happy that he helped Bush turn America into a total police state, complete with the GESTAPO doing the questioning at home and abroad! And Now, Ralph wants to help Bush really get elected, so Der Shrub can become a full fledged GROFAZ!

Why should America be sorry, Bush ain't?

18. after apologizing, he should do the noble christian thing......
....and offer himself up to our GIs to "toy" with, rather than those iraqis (who foolishly had the temerity to not welcome us as liberators - hah! taught them a lesson didn't we?)

o lord, please save us from your followers!

19. And he should apologize to you, me and all Americans...
... for sullying our good names with his dirty deed. I am truly ashamed of what Americans now stand for. If those in WWII were the greatest generation, this generation is the most pathetic generation.

21. Alone, it wouldn't be enough. Maybe if I resigned today, donated his
trust fund to the Iraqi people, and became a combination of St. Francis of Assissi, Jimmy Carter, and Mother Theresa where he moved to Iraq and dedicated each day to rebuilding the lives he's destroyed, he may be ready for redemption.
