now that these torture photos have proved the left's suspicions right. the WH denials of abuses at Guantanomo Bay don't sound too credible all of the suden.

1. ....
I'd assume torture would be pretty systematic in Gitmo. Who's going to find out? Half the captured could be dead for all we know.

2. Why weren't these allegations investigated?

Because these are lies and fabrications, they are not credible. If they were credible allegations of illegal conduct, then we would investigate," he said.

Asked how the Pentagon could determine whether the allegations were lies without an investigation, the spokesman said: "We do not do what they are alleging."

3. Read the internal investigation report (link below).

Very disturbing, what is revealed about the confinement practices.

4. AND the general who was in charge of Guantanamo
"took a little trip" to Iraq to advise the area on "interrogation techniques." And he recommended doing things that would shame them in their culture.

And now he is in command of THE WHOLE FRICKIN' PRISON SYSTEM IN IRAQ.

Damn right we need to investigate Guantanmo, make the military have hearings to determine if they are POW's or the other "Bush status."
AND INVESTIGATE TORTURE, SLEEP DEPRIVATION, KEEPING THEM FROM PRAYER, HOODS, CONTINUOUS INTERROGATION FOR 24 HOURS AT A TIME, and other allegations as some who have been released have described.

This commander SMELLS.
