12. they minimize the numbers of soldiers perpetrating torture - I want to
Edited on Thu May-06-04 11:35 AM by jean
know how many hundreds of prisoners have been tortured, killed and disappeared.

Another reply they give is "WEll, this is not as bad as what Saddam did!" Isn't it nice that bush has brought the US down to the level of being compared to despots?

Edit: I just read the yahoo article which says there are 4000 prisoners at just that one (AG) prison.

Terry Moran, now a woman questioning how can the Pentagon investigate itself?

Even Dana Bash, snarling just a bit: when were the alllegations of abuse made known to President, what happened next.

19. W told in January by Rummy : BUSH KNEW
Edited on Thu May-06-04 11:45 AM by robbedvoter
The LA Times guy. McClelan didn't deny. Just like with 911 - "only looking to the future" Sheesh, I thought W preached to the arambs that we have accountability... :eyes:

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/iraq/la-050604rumsfeld_lat,1,499290.story?coll=la-home-headlines
About that time, in January, officials said, Rumsfeld mentioned the prisoner abuse investigation to Bush at a regularly scheduled White House meeting.
At that session, White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan said Wednesday, Bush was satisfied after the defense secretary gave him "a general sense" of the allegations and assured him that "there was an investigation underway."

20. White House caught in ANOTHER Lie
They claim that in January, when Rumsfeld told Bush about the torture, Bush "asked questions" and wanted more information.

When asked directly whether the White House had:

Any notes, emails, phone call records, memos, or any other evidence of such questions or follow-up, Snotty couldn't name a single thing.

LIARS!!!!

Could Bush* be ANY less human?
