MSNBC: Dan Patrick and Bernie Ward in a yelling match over photos
Radio talk show host Bernie Ward (KGO - San Francisco) was arguing with Dan Patrick (a Sean Hannity wannabe), who said "Rush is right"...the media is making a big deal over nothing (the Iraq prison photos).

Then Ward dropped a big one on "the next story coming out soon"...without naming a source, unfortunately...being "what the soldiers have done to Iraqi boys."

He may be completely full of it, or it may be tomorrow's topic of discussion. I don't know. It's just what I heard a few minutes ago.

Ward said that it's over, we need to bring the troops home. He also condemned Hannity by name during the "it's no big deal" argument.

5. No news there. Hersh has been repeating this on every show
he has been on. The special ward for women and "juveniles" and the things done to them. If these come out now we are REALLY, REALLY FINISHED. It has been done, but the actual displaying of evidence is what is going to take this over the threshold.

10. No...it's a different guy
Edited on Thu May-06-04 03:57 PM by Bush_Eats_Beef
I just did a google search on him, saw the photo on the ESPN site, and it's a different guy.

The Dan Patrick on MSNBC was a guy who just looked like a Fox News right-winger.

I found this:

http://www.ksevradio.com/

and a quote:

"In the battle to express the hearts and minds of Houstonians, no other station delivers a venue for the people to voice their opinion. The Voice is Houston's original Opinion Central with intelligent, issue-oriented talk shows like: Dan Patrick, Laura Ingraham, Bill O'Reilly, Edd Hendee and Money Talk."

...and his bio:

The Dan Patrick Show...Dan has a lot to say and is not afraid to say it!
Dan's 20-year career in broadcasting has made him an important and well-respected part of the Houston community. His know-how, passion and fearless commentary have gained him a large and loyal audience that has been anxiously awaiting his return to Houston radio.

Dan is a thought provoking and hard-hitting broadcaster who covers social, political and economical issues...subjects that really matter! Listeners know that Dan practices honesty, integrity and accountability in his everyday business and private life and have come to expect invigorating topics and opinions!

Whether you agree with him or not, Dan Patrick will definitely make you

STOP! THINK! & LISTEN!

But rest assured, ESPN fans, your bud has not turned into a dick.

14. On the ESPN Radio site...

Mike Golic (right) & Mike Greenberg (left)

"Golic is a nine-year NFL veteran, playing defensive tackle for the Houston Oilers, Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins. Golic is a 1985 graduate of Notre Dame where he was captain and linebacker his senior season. His brothers Bob and Greg also played for the Fighting Irish."

...but no mention of the Oilers in Patrick's bio, lower on the page at the same URL (http://www.espn1240.com/bios.html)

17. No, no...I meant the Dan Patrick of the post I was responding too.
The right wing Dan Patrick. But actually, I think I was wrong on the Oilers thing. He used to be a weatherman. I need a Houstonian to refresh my memory.

20. Oooops...my mistake...but there's more Texas Dan info at this URL
http://www.aimpress.com/patrick.htm

Nothing about the weather, but supposedly his "defining moment" was the result of listening to Bill Maher:

"Two years ago, for example, when Patrick heard Politically Incorrect Late Night host, Bill Maher compare the bravery of our US military to that of the 9-11 terrorists, he was outraged. He made every attempt to contact Maher and schedule him for his show, but Maher turned down every request. Patrick then launched a national campaign to 'oust' Maher via his loyal listening audience and the airwaves of many other conservative talk show hosts. Ultimately, a mass letter-writing campaign resulted in major sponsors dropping the show, and in the end ABC canceled the show."

"If you have to humiliate prisoners to save American lives, THAT IS WHAT YOU DO."

and he also wrote this inspirational book:

So God has Bush AND Dan Patrick doing his work here on earth.

24. Self-Rigtoeus Phony Piety makes me nauseous
He probably molests little kids like Phil Girodano, Bushevik Mayor of a City in Connecticut.

Or perhaps animal torture and mutilation.

Beware the Falsely Pious. It ususally masks a SEWER inside.

13. It doesn't matter what a hillbilly heroin addict thinks about the photos
These photos are the perfect propaganda for al Qaeda. Nothing they could have done would have been more powerful. As more photos are released more fuel is added to the fire.

because his admin is so screwed up and illiterate no one reads, writes or (apparently) talks about major crises like this.
