Plane with engine problem & Gray Davis to be onboard!
Edited on Sat Aug-09-03 02:48 PM by twilight
Read it and weep! Did they try to off Davis in yet another small plane accident'? Engine problem my ASS! :wtf:

CHP investigating speeding motorcade

<Citing security reasons, officials wouldn't confirm the identity of the person inside the car, besides saying the individual had attended an event when a plane suffered engine problems and the entourage switched to automobiles.

"You don't need to ask, you pretty much know who it was," said Helmick.

Davis signed the budget Saturday in Sacramento. He had no public state events over the weekend, before he left for Chicago Sunday, spokesman Steve Maviglio said.

"The governor's office doesn't have anything to do with the way the governor is transported," said Maviglio, adding that the CHP handles all aspects of getting Davis to various locations.>

4. Article said 'engine problem' not failure.
(I brought this to LBN and will probaly regret it. Too late now.)

For example:
My truck had an engine problem. The oil pressure is reading about 10psi lower than it should when it is hot so I decided not to go on any long trips with it until it gets checked out.

My truck had an engine failure. It quit and I can't drive it.

5. failure = problem = what?
You don't want to be on any plane with an engine problem.

The extent we do not know but why were they driving 95 MPH? Seems they had a very good reason.

6. Well, can't engine problem become an engine failure?
Edited on Sat Aug-09-03 02:51 PM by Clete
My car has stopped during rush hour on the freeway because of the same situation you described making it engine failure and a dangerous situation. Shouldn't airplanes carrying VIP's be checked for this before the plane is loaded with its passengers? Or, couldn't someone covertly tinker with the mechanism after it was checked making a problem a possible failure? Just asking here as a possibility :tinfoilhat:?

7. Here's how I see it!
Engine problems occur on the ground, engine failures occur in the air. If you take off with an engine problem, you may have an engine failure in the air...

9. Exactly. And if a problem develops in the air you land
before it becomes a failure and have it checked out by a mechanic. If your passengers are in a hurry they can find another mode of transport.
