Random Thoughts From A Random Mind

By Rich Jorn

The Final Solution

I have heard from various sources different solutions to the “war” in Iraq. The most popular answer is “NUKE EM” at least that is the most popular Republican reaction. NOTE: It is extremely difficult to have conversation with a Republican about the “war” in Iraq, They tend to combine Afghanistan and Iraq into one war.
The Democrats answers mostly call for making up with the likes of the France, Germany, and the rest of the UN and asking for some – Help.
I have the best solution of all; in fact it is so good I am truly surprised that no one has thought of it yet.
SELL IRAQ ON EBAY!
That’s right, say it with me. Sell Iraq on Ebay. Sell it to the highest bidder, as is, no refunds, no warranty. Our troops get to come home, we get some of our money back, and then we can turn our attention to improving our country.

WAR

War is hell. That is why it is a last resort (and should be the last resort). War is a time of sacrifice. During World War II, citizens were given ration stamps. This was to limit how much a person or family would consume. During World War II, citizens were asked to purchase war bonds. This was to ensure adequate funding for the war effort. During World War II war heroes were honored for their service.
Compare that to the Iraqi “war”.
No ration stamps – Tax cuts.
No war bonds – Tax cuts.
No honor for veterans – They had their benefits cut. (But to be fair, they did also get a tax cut.)
The Iraqi “war” should be called “the Iraqi Combat”.
Combat is hell.

Romney vs. Same Sex Marriage

“Me thinks the lady doth protest too much.”

Mission Accomplished

Since the Iraqi “war”/Combat was declared over, 615 US service men and women have been killed in Iraq. Even more by the time you read this. ABC’s Nightline set out read all of the names last Friday night. Not everyone got to see it because Sinclair Broadcast Group ordered its eight ABC affiliates to pre-empt Friday's "Nightline", saying that the program is "motivated by a political agenda designed to undermine the efforts of the United States in Iraq."
In 2004, Sinclair executives gave 98 percent of their political contributions to GOP candidates.
Who is being "motivated by a political agenda”?

What a Dick Cheney

Dick “I had other things to do” Cheney is attacking John Kerry on what he did with his Vietnam medals. What I want to know is, what did George W Bush do with his Vietnam era fillings?

Personal Opinion

First and Ocean was a good bank.
Banknorth sucks.

POW Photo Shoot

I really don’t know what to say about this, except that the truly disgusting, less than human, excrement, are the ones defending the actions of these soldiers gone bad.
