we should be visualizing dubya gone gone gone. nothing lasts forever, not even this asshole, but man o man, we got our work cut out for us. it's gonna take decades for sure.

the train wreck he's helmed, and the damage he's done to our nation, and it's reputation, which wasnt' stellar to begin with, may not be repaired in our forseeable lifetimes, uncomfortable as it is.

we need to be laying out a vision of what we want OUR DAMN COUNTRY TO LOOK LIKE, our way, or the hiway, not the bush way. we should be thinking damage control and repair emergency mode. like the boys on apollo 13, ship all damaged and all hope lost, but they grabbed some duct tape and wire and paste and got that damn space ship home with all aboard accounted for.

and who the hell knows what the assholes have in store for us in what they might see as their last stand? the next 6 months might be the worst in our history. if these last few months are any indication, we are seriously in need of elbow grease and grim determination.

3. I tell all my friends to just imagine how much better things will be once
* is gone. Yes, we will be cleaning up the mess for decades, but I see the alternative being all out destruction of the planet, so I'll deal.

2. yes we do...
it took years to restore the usa after reagan -well bush`s crew- got thrown out for 8 years..remember when we were respected in the world, when our president could get a blow job and still conduct foreign policy? how long will it take to restore the last four years-along time- there`s no money and no credit. we are pretty much screwed for years

4. Agree with you
we have entered the end game... and they will show their desperation sooner or later.

As to the vision, right now we have to realize that we need a nation with health care for all, good education and a good social net. And yes, those at the top should be willing to pay for the services they use, just as the rest of us.
