MEXICO CITY - The Mexican Air Force has released footage of what appear to be unidentified flying objects picked up by an infrared camera as they whizzed around a surveillance plane.

A longtime believer in flying saucers, journalist Jaime Maussan, told a news conference Tuesday that the objects were real. At one point the shapes appeared to change direction and surround the plane that was chasing them. Maussan said the shapes showed up in the infrared footage but could not be seen by the naked eye.

“They were invisible to the eye, but they were there, there is no doubt about it. They had mass, they had energy and they were moving about,” he said, after showing a 15-minute video that he said the Defense Ministry gave him permission to publicize.

The ministry confirmed to Reuters that it had provided the video, filmed by the Air Force on March 5 over the eastern coastal state of Campeche.

“We are not alone! This is so weird,” one of the pilots could be heard yelling, after the plane’s crew switched on an infrared camera to track the objects, first picked up by radar.

They take it seriously at all levels of the government and have been for years.

But some folks say just some JSFs and F-22s because the Joint Strike Fighter has three exhaust plumes, one from the main exhaust and one ducted thrust vane on each side (There are actually two interchangeable engines being developed for the aircraft, neither of which is acknowledged to be in the flying stage, where the Pratt & Whiney engine design is closely based upon the famed F-119 "supercruise" engine, already in use on the F-22, which has an exhaust that is rectangular, and since the photo on the Rense's site one of the exhausts appears to be rectangular). As far as being visible at short range on radar and FLIR, stealth aircraft aren't invisible -They just get detected at much shorter ranges. That might explain how they appeared to "come out of nowhere.".

Plus Fox is saying ionized gas hiding image so it appears out of nonwhere, and others noting The way the pattern repeats looks like a double reflection. Like you sometimes get from laminated glass, such as safety glass.

They don't know what they are. Nobody does at this point. But they're "unidentified" objects that are, or seem to be "flying". Ergo, unidentified flying objects, aka UFOs.

Why does this create so much ridicule? For all we know, it's some kind of novel atmospheric phenomenon, yet people are ready to make these folks that experienced it to be nutcases (I'm not referring to anyone here).

Openmindedness seems to be called for, but whenever there's a story of this sort people go off in weird directions. On "both" sides.

I'm glad there are mysterious phenomenon that keep popping up! It's fun to speculate, ain't it?

Its the leaping to conclusions that gets people into trouble.

I love the story in Cosmos about what happened when we first turned our telescopes on Venus. Because it is cloud covered all that was seen was a blank disc. When they figured out how to do spectrum analysis they found water vapor in the clouds. From this they began speculating that that it must be a very damp place. Then they figured further that it must be covered by swamps. Then they speculated that dinosaurs live in swamps so Venus must be populated by dinosaurs.

Observation nothing. Conclusion dinosaurs.

They showed a lot of it on Olberman's show tonight.

They are obviously objects because they disappear behind clouds, then reappear through the clouds.

It's definitely something flying around in the air. It's not some kind of optical anomaly.

I was pretty astounded. Olberman was joking like "so maybe I'm actually sitting here seeing a great new chapter in the history of mankind and asking you this silly question, but......"

The most convincing UFOs I've ever seen were above Mexico City, flying around up in the clouds, a very similar type of occurrence, seen and videotaped by thousands, if not millions of people. They looked like silver orbs.
