A national Republican group of gays and lesbians will begin bombarding the Valley's television airwaves today, hoping to win over those are undecided about or support a ban on same-sex marriages.

The Log Cabin Republicans will air a 30-second commercial featuring Vice President Dick Cheney speaking about the constitutional rights of same-sex couples during a 2000 debate with then-rival Sen. Joe Lieberman.

glad that there are some real republicans who are trying to take their party back. i hope the hardcore fiscal conservatives will start throwing some money at the same goal.
