"Blair was a great leader, now reduced to a caricature for center left"
This is a segment of an interview with Howard Dean on BBC Newsnight, begins about 18 minutes in. The entire interview will air on May 26 on BBC4. Choose Latest Programme.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/default.stm

He reiterates the misleading way Bush took us into Iraq, said he is terribly disappointed in Tony Blair....who used to be an icon for the center left in this country.

Said this administration is much more responsible for prisoner mistreatment than many previous ones because of the Bush obsession for privatization. He criticizes the privatizing of the military.

Reiterates that Bush foreign policy has put us at more risk, and Bush gave no serious long-term thought to our future. He said we went after a 3rd-rate despot who was no danger to us.

Thanks, Howard Dean, for continuing to be a voice for us.....even if it is on the BBC. You said a lot in 4 minutes, Governor, and that why some of us are sticking with DFA....a voice for the future. We will vote for Kerry, though, as that is what we have to do to get our country back.

1. Damn
Every time that man speaks I want to give him a big hug and a high five. I rarely disagree with him. And he is fucking eloquent.

Damn I miss him. damn damn damn.

2. I used to like Blair also...
He always had this cool aura about him like Joe Montana. Now he got mixed up with Shrub and his unnecessary war and my respect for him has gone waaaaay down.
