get along in without this. They fly in fuel. Its going to $6 shortly. Tie that in with poverty and high prices for everything.

7. We have our own refinery in Valdez but it ain't for Alaskans

In the cities it ain't quite so bad but it just went up to $2.13 per gal for the cheap stuff in Juneau. On a side note it costs $.60 per pound for air freight to the bush in Southeast Alaska. A gallon of gas is approximately 8 pounds. Same as milk. They sell a gallon of milk for $10.00 a gallon.
