It is wonderful that Michael Moore is including footage of Bush mugging like a fratboy and pumping his fist in the air saying "FEELS GOOD!" before he announced to the American people that he was leading them into war against Iraq.
This shameful incident did not get much publicity at the time, but I recall that some folks here were circulating links to streaming media of this telling little snippet.
Anyone still have those? Any one by any chance manage to save it to their hard drive? Anyone even have stills from it?
I think the only people who are supporting this galoot at this point are totally morally bankrupt -- don't you? This Popular Wartime PresidentTM could go on tv tomorrow and decapitate Laura while the cameras roll -- and they would say we were all making too much of nothing! The mind reels....
They have managed to keep stuff like this out of the popular media, and thus lie about how splendid and glorious a leader His Chimperial Majesty is.
How the hell are the Flying Monkeys going to blame the LIEbral media for *this* little bit of video -- the Commander in Chief mugging and joking foolishly before announcing the grave issue of impending war? I guess they'll do an "Abu Ghraib" -- try to keep it under wraps and deny it, but when it gets out, claim that it's really not that bad, and that what is really wrong is that people would look at this unflattering view of His Chimperial Majesty in A Time of WarTM. I can see giving your guy the "rah rah", but when it comes to defending the indefensible? Yeah yeah -- it's not bad that these horrid things HAPPEN -- only that people find out about them. No doubt that they will do everything in their power to make sure the troops serving don't see it -- imagine how demoralized they would be seeing he Commander in Chief clowning around and pumping his fist playfully in the air before shipping them off to face combat in horrific conditions? Mind you -- it's not bad that Bush DID something like this -- only that people find out that he did, and make him face the consequences!
