Is it ethical to kick my own post? Don't know, but I don't want this to disappear down the thread-hole.

Mods-give me a rap on the knuckles if there's something wrong with kicking my own post, but this is important. Need to send a message that we are not going to sit back and let the repukes run 780 hours a year of un-opposed political commercials to our troops.

13. Beyond signing the petition, people need to contact elected reps!

Sending email, letters, or calling your elected representatives about this issue will help let them know about it. From the response I got to calling one rep, I don't even think they all know about it.

We need to make sure that every one of them is aware of the problem and that people in Washington DC start talking about it. The timing is perfect because the Salon.com article is out today and Media Matters is on the issue as well.
