A couple of very good Kerry photos surfaced today...

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?g=photos_g_pl&a=&tmpl=sl&ns=&l=1&e=11&a=0

"Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., talks to reporters after speaking about his energy policy at a rally, Wednesday, May 26, 2004, in Seattle."

I saw the photo above and my first thought was that he should mail a copy to Dubya and autograph it "Bring It On, Love, John." Nice, natural photo, eh?

"Kerry puts Edwards through veep paces
N.C. senator gets the closest look
Kerry and Edwards appeared together during an April fund-raiser in Miami, Fla."

This is probably the best photo I've seen yet of Edwards. He just looks like he's got his act together. Just personal opinion, but I'd like to see a Kerry-Edwards ticket.

1. The top one looks like it could be Preacher John Kerry
He'd do a heck of a lot better job than the fundie preachers.

2. the Kerry Edwards pic came out weeks ago
and like you, most loved it. it also looks like it could be one of those movie promo posters you see at theaters, newspapers, billboards etc.

i love all these natural pics
far better than his posed photos where he looks very geeky. these natural ones show a "true" side to him that the media whores don't report on but you see if you meet and watch him especially in casual settings.

4. The Kerry pic could be titled "From sea to shining sea" - a broad reach

Put a subtle aura of light around his head and this Kerry pic rivals bush's 'I am the chosen son of God' pics, three of which you can see here:

I'm not serious about photoshopping Kerry's pics - he looks presidential in any of them whether in geek or natural mode.

edit: added a thought

5. Comparing to Bush pictures
Ever notice how Bush always looks either:
Lost
Confused
Uncomfortable
Pissed

I don't care if Kerry looks "French" or like an Umpaloompa, at least he looks comfortable in his skin and position.

6. Randi Rhodes commented that bush looks like he actually
believes what he is saying, after his Mon night speech. That's my take as well - when he speaks it's a script and he reads with resolve, the word of the week for the RNC.

But you're right -when he's not speaking he looks lost, confused, uncomfortable and/or pissed.

10. Exactly. Eggs-effing-zackly.
Kerry looks real, he looks comfortable with himself, he looks like a President. Edwards looks focused and aware of the battle that lies ahead. I don't care how bad Bush's numbers are, this WILL be a battle...and these two men could handle it and win.

8. The first pic is from this morning here in Seattle
It sucks the weather couldn't have been better. I would have loved to see him in person, but a little thing called work got in the way. :)

He looks great. Like a real president. Not the chimp who is currently the Resident.

11. That arm span makes me wish the election could be decided by game of hoops
one-on-one, Cheney and Bush vs Kerry and Edwards (anyone see Edwards on Cold Pizza make all those free throws?).
