Kelli Arena is the secret love child of Michael Jackson and Ahmad Chalabi
unsubstantiated rumor can be fun :) Do you think they'll every apologize for this crap?

From Erik Alterman: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/3449870/

Quote of the day:  "There is some speculation that al Qaeda believes it has a better chance of winning in Iraq if John Kerry is in the White House."
- Kelli Arena

There is also "some speculation" that Kelli Arena is the secret love child of Michael Jackson and Ahmad Chalabi.  I suppose that's up to CNN's standards of news verification as well....

1. Al Qaeda wants Kerry to win? Plus, my specualtion.
Why would they want that? Their greatest successes have come during the Bush administration!

Here is my speculation: Kelli Arena did Oxy-contin with Rush before attending a recent Pat Boone concert!!!

4. My speculation
Kerry Arena swallows, and she got the information on Al Qaeda & Kerry while having a threesome with Karl Rove & Rush Limbaugh. At least that is what I heard.

I understand you to have recently made this statement: "There is some speculation that al Qaeda believes it has a better chance of winning in Iraq if John Kerry is in the White House."

Coincidentally, I also just saw a statement speculating that you are in fact, the secret love child of Michael Jackson and Ahmad Chalabi.

While I admit that Janet Jackson is probably more plausible in that role than Michael, I must confess that you do look remarkably similar to a cross between the two of them.

Investigative journalism, and journalistic integrity being what they are today, I would very much like to see CNN looking more closely into the aforementioned speculation concerning your parenthood.

I don't doubt that you have been longing to know the real identity of your true parents, and the rest of the viewing public will, I'm sure, be absolutely fascinated by this story.

In order to avoid potential bias and conflict of interest, of course CNN should put a different reporter other than yourself onto this story...oh, I forgot, under today's journalistic standards, that should no longer be an issue.

I hope that CNN will carry on with a thorough investigation of this most interesting piece of speculation.

Sincerely,

7. Here's my simple little email:
Al-Qaeda wants Kerry, is that it?

Do you have proof of this, or are unsubstantiated claims and gossip from the Bush Campaign your main sources?

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. You just turned CNN into the laughingstock of news. I hope you're ashamed of yourself--I also hope you think twice before eating out of the White House's propaganda hand in the future.

Mediawatchers will have their eye on your reporting from this point on. Hopefully you can refrain from idiotic claims.

Goodbye.
Rob

3. She's not qualified to be Justice Dept. Correspondent. Ck her Bio...link
Edited on Tue Jun-01-04 12:11 PM by KoKo01
(Her reporting for CNN was always about Finance (see the snip) and she suddenly gets the job as Justice Dept. Correspondent, because she covered 9/11 and Anthrax? :eyes: Check out where she attended college and tell me how she is qualified for what she's doing now for CNN) Send her back to her Financial Reporting....although one wonders how the Tisch School for the Arts qualified her for that, either).

Previously, Arena was a Washington, D.C.-based correspondent for CNN, contributing to reports on CNN and CNNfn. Before this position, she was news editor for CNN Financial News, responsible for all news coverage and the assignment desk. She was also a supervisor for all daytime and primetime financial-news programming.

Arena joined CNN in July 1984 as an intern in the features unit. In July 1985, she joined the staff as production assistant for Financial News. Since then, she has served as a guest booker, an associate producer, a writer, a field producer and the producer for Business Morning, Business Day, Moneyweek, Inside Business and Moneyline. Arena is responsible for the launch of the international Financial News updates, which are seen in more than 212 countries and territories. She also assisted in the launch of the first international Financial News programs, World Business Today and Business Asia. She has reported and produced international stories from Asia, South America and Europe.

Arena is the recipient of numerous broadcast industry awards, most recently winning the "Best Correspondent" Award at the New York Festivals. Other awards include a Peabody Award and a CableAce Award. She was named to The Journal of Financial Reporting's list of top financial journalists under the age of 30 for four consecutive years.

Arena earned a bachelor's degree from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
