the one thing he actually knows anything about. Imagine all the Ford Expedition and other mass consumption vehicle owners getting so pissed about it they vote Dem in November.

1. I imagine that is one thing they are very concerned about....
Repubs do not like to pay $2 per gallon for gas...and neither do Democrats...

the increase in gas price hurts. But I'm willing to sacrifice if it helps defeat *.

3. heh heh (evil snicker)
wouldn't that be karmic justice? When the news came out that Prince Bandar had made a sweet deal with George to raise gas prices through the summer, and then lower them right before the election in November, to make his man look better.

Heh heh.

4. Relax. Why do you think he's filling the strategic reserve?
Come about October 15, he's gonna release all that oil into the system. Prices will plummet just in time for election day.

5. If rising gas prices would get Bush out of office,
I'd be willing to pay even if the price goes up to $5 a gallon.

6. Expect them to come back down around the end of September.

Expect to hear a lot of chatter about how Bush's brilliant foreign policy is somehow responsible.

It's pretty clear that the big oil companies can drive prices up and down at whim. And Bush is their buddy.
