'Fahrenheit' has elder Bush boiling

The 41st President of the United States has stepped up to defend his son, the 43rd President of the United States, against "slimeball" filmmaker Michael Moore.

"I have total disdain for Moore," George H.W. Bush told us when we saw him at the T.J. Martell Foundation Awards gala, where he was honored along with Stevie Wonder and Dr. Daniel Vasella the other night.

Moore, whose film explores the financial ties between the Bush family and the Saudis, said, "I appreciate all reviews of my films from the Bush family. And if they love the film this much, without having seen it, I can't wait for the reviews when they actually see it. I'd be more than happy to set up a White House screening."

Recalling the Bushes' nickname for Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Prince Bandar, he added, "I hope they invite Bandar Bush!"

Pat Buchanan was subbing for Joe Scarborough on Scarborough Country on MSRNC. They were calling the film "Slanderous" and called everything in the film an outright lie.

As I understand it, however, almost all the Bush-Saud connections have been documented in Unger's book. So how can the RWers get away with calling this slander?

fast it would make your head spin. The proof it is all true is that no lawsuits have been filed. These people are very very quick to file suit. filed to prevent its release. All Bush* needs to do is tie it for 4 months. His lawyers are shady enough to do that in their sleep. Yeah, Moore could counter-sue and win - win millions - something tells me that is wort it to BushCo*.

I want to be wrong - but since the only faith I have in the BFEE is the faith that they will do the criminal thing whenever possible I will breathe easier when I am sitting in the theater munching popcorn on opening day.

I've never downloaded anything more than a trailer onto my computers, and have yet to buy a bootleg DVD or video. I'm sure I'm not alone.

And then, there are the folks that might see it if it was on the big screen, but don't get out to buy DVDs or rent them very often (like me...) I don't like a lot of movies on the small screen.
