Randi: the last time a Bush spoke about religion the bush was burning!
Bwahahahaha!
And, after I saw what Bush has been doing the last few days (meeting with all the fundies and religious extremists he can), and the show and callers on C-Span Wash Jnl, I thought that he is going to stress his stupid religious ideas to cater to "his base" and scare them into voting for him. EEEWWW

1. She wants to start the Right Randi Church. She wants to get
American's taxes besides not having to pay taxes.

5. A sad thought: girls who die virgins because they listen to the
religious right... how sad is that?
And before she said they really don't want to do anything about social programs except destroy them, but they are really, really fast to get into WOMEN'S UTERUSES (is this the plural of uterus?)

6. A woman I know...
...who is my age (forty) is still a virgin because she's never been married.

I really feel bad for her--not just for not having sex--but for denying such a natural part of human nature because some angry pie-in-the-sky will frown on her if she acts on it.

It must be a terrible way to live.

9. Agreed. If you try it and you don't like it, then be it. But to never
try something that is totally natural (with somebody you like and where the feeling is mutual, of course) is...weird.
It reminds me of a Catholic colleague whose wife died (he was in his late 50s) and then he would not even date divorced women because he would need to marry a single woman or a widow...otherwise the Catholic church would not approve. I asked him "who is hurt if you marry a divorced woman? You are not going to have any more children; the only concerned individuals are the two of you. EXPLAIN TO ME WHY YOU LET A MAN WITH SKIRTS CONTROL YOUR LIFE?" He said What? I said: "the Pope. He is determining your life."

7. Bush is a pompous oaf! He says that people who come from
other lands need Christian charity (that means Christianity if you want charity).
Then he is saying that there are children who suffer because their parents are in jail. Randi agrees totally: probably because they had marihuana, and they are sent to prison where they get the same treatment the prisoners in Iraq did.

not giving the soldiers what they need during the war or AFTER THE WAR.
He doesn't give them even bullets.
