Just to be fair, folks...
In regard to * lawyering up over the Plame investigation;

Any lawyer will tell you that the person who needs a lawyer most is an innocent person.

No matter how much we believe him to be a guilty man, no inference ought ever to be drawn from a person hiring a lawyer!

3. Always, liberals are fair, even to our worst enemies.
You could have a point, but with this crew and their
arrogance, I would think that if there was nothing to
it, they wouldn't bother. They'd just give the whole
investigation the finger, you know?

True...but a year or two ago, this would have been disappeared.
There's no way this would have come to the light of day.

The times they are a-chaingin'...

5. Of course--but you can't separate that from PERCEPTION
And that's what's going to do him harm, innocent or not.

6. Thank you.
I tried to make this point in one of the speculative threads...and I agree that this is DEFINITELY interesting and newsworthy...but we have to tread VERY carefully the line between talking about this and somehow impugning the act of hiring counsel. This thread is definitely needed!

7. You're welcome!
I still think he's guilty as hell, but lawyering up indicates nothing at all.

9. but what is better is it proves they KNOW all this has legs
they see this thing catching up to him. The lawyer will turn into legal team to multitask the multitude of legal issues the Clintons, Kerrys, and other Dems waited until now to tease for all the political poison they possess.

I have to hand it to them. They are doing a good job of keeping a number of negative stories going and getting official comment, response, counter response from WH, congress, media.

I understand an innocent person hires a laywer for protection, but no matter what...having that headline up there is priceless at this time of year.

Retaining a Criminal Attorney does sound pretty suspicious.

11. The question is what would a lawyer NOT tell you??? lol
Honestly, of course a lawyer would tell you that the person who needs a lawyer the most is an innocent person, but then what does the lawyer tell the guilty person??? :)

The fact that this investigation is getting close enough for the WH to have to prove their innocence (or deny their guilt) is enough for me to keep an eye on the news. I don't pretend that I know the answer, but I certainly do keep an interest in the matter.
