Was Boortz giving us a demonstration of the double standard of honesty promulgated by reactionaries? That is, when caught in a lie:

1) If Republican, change the subject and move on to the next topic, because everyone will tire of the matter quickly;
2) If Democratic, deliver a mea culpa immediately and repeatedly, because people will hound you for it until you leave office.
