Euthanasia Campaigner Writes Guide to a Good Death
Inspired by guidebooks for the discerning consumer, a right-to-die campaigner has compiled a "Good Euthanasia Guide," listing organizations that help people end their lives and the relevant laws around the world. Euthanasia has been a topic of hot debate in Britain after a handful of high-profile cases last year when ill Britons traveled abroad to be helped to commit suicide.

"It's a book of information for intelligent people who want to make an informed decision about their death," said Humphry, a former Sunday Times journalist who founded a pressure group called the Hemlock Society in 1980.

1. You link's defunct, it's been changed. This should work:

I just checked it. It's o.k. now.

More power to Oregon's State's Rights. I truly hope there's not a damned thing Bush can do about this, and also not a damned thing about the California finding on abortion.

partly html'ed for some reason. And cutting and pasting doesn't work either. Dunno why they do that.

But thanks for the working link. :)

3. My friend Dan is dying. My age, 6 months to live. He just quit work,
is organizing his assets and is going off to see the world. We've discussed his financial final arrangements and other things, and he is going peacefully, and with little regret, and with MUCH honor and dignity, and, bless his heart, with HUMOR.

Dan is a model of how to die and we will miss him.

4. I am so sorry. :^( But I am glad he has time left to do
what he wants to do, and that he is doing it on his own terms.
