What do you think Bush will do if he loses?
Do you think he'll just retire quietly in Texas, or will he stay in the political arena like Clinton?

1. What do you mean "if" he loses?
He has a snowball's chance in Hell at this point.

I say "if" because...
we know what happened the last time he lost an election. Even though it looks like he can't win right now, that's when he's the most dangerous.

14. Pout? Not likely.
He'll stay behind the scenes, like his string-pulling daddy, doing RNC fundraising, shaking down the rich and the stupid for his brother's run in 2008.

But even if that doesn't come to pass I doubt he'd remain active politically. Let's face it, he's lazy and bored with his job already.

Am I the only one who believes that if the Democrats don't retake Congress, an impeachment attempt on a President John Kerry is a virtual LOCK?

27. Figure Head Only
Yes, that is what the Presidency has become. Our country truly is run by the corporate elite who have set their eyes on the global scale.

So will it really make a difference when KERRY wins?? Or will we finally see the cloak drawn away & the masquerade for what it is?
We shall see come 2005 when a "new" cabinet is installed.

15. No Corp. Boards, just disappear to play golf with Poppy.
I don't believe Corp. Board jobs because most of those go to people with good "Connections". Shrub doesn't have any himself...they're all Poppy's.

I don't think he'll retire to Crawford becauase what he does there is all for show now, and Laura doesn't like it there.

He's really not interested in politics. I think he did it because Poppy asked him to give it a try and see if you can get Sadaam for me. I really believe there are lots of times he says to himself & Laura...Man, they really want me to work in this job and I don't like it.

16. He'll go back to Crawford.
He'll have no pull in the Republican Party because he has no ideas. Hell, he doesn't have any power now, they damn sure won't give him any come January. He'll just go back to the ranch, fall off stuff, talk to God, and convince himself that he was done in by the powers of Darkness. He'll probably take to drinking heavily, too.

32. He was never a rancher.
His place near Crawford was a pig farm before he bought it; the former owner manages it, with a few head of cattle.

He'll put the place up for sale--in fact, a good friend will probably buy it so it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Then he'll move to a gated community near a golf course.

36. If he somehow loses the election
he will probably use every dirty, conniving trick in the book to stay in power. Make that his handlers, the puppet masters that are the executive branch. Jeb's Florida is already scrambling to reenact the 2000 debauchery with purge lists and hackable voting systems. Ironically, the sec. of state does not do this...the local officials are forced to do this. I am sure that if they do not do it "right," it will be sent back to them to be done over. I am waiting to go to the polls come November, if there is an election, and be told I am not on the list because of a "computer error."

There will be lawsuits, gladhanding, slander, lies, martial law, whoremongering; whatever it takes to keep the PNAC agenda on the table.

I am trying not to get too emotionally attached to this election. I lost hours of sleep at the last election cycle, naively ignorant in my worst nightmares of how bad it would get. A month after the election, I lost my grandmother. On inauguration I drank until I passed out. With the loss of family and the gain of an idiot in the WH, I was awefully depressed. So please don't think me a pessimist. The Boy Scouts, for what it is worth, taught me to "be prepared." That is just what I am going to be for the next few months.

42. Impeach the Lame Duck!!!
This stuff ain't going away any time soon, but the Republicans in Congress may be just a bit too afraid for their own hides to do anything towards impeachment before November.

But imagine if Shrubbie loses - and loses big. What happens then? Do the Republicans in Congress:

1) Start shredding documents and keep stonewalling?
2) Join the soon-to-be-in-the-majority Democrats in calling for impeachment?
3) Demand recounts and Supreme Court intervention on every election?
4) Some combination of all of the above?

stall, and stall and try to argue that "he's the war president!" - while holding the "black bag" and threatening to use it if we don't agree to let him "win" again!

I am only being half-sarcastic here - that's how bad it is getting.

Did you hear him "speak" in that strange language on David Letterman last night?

Be afraid. Be very afraid of a cornered angry animal.
