We should be rejoicing in the streets...
The fact that we have witnesses who claim that Bush knew about the Plame outing indicates that the system is working again and Bush has pissed off people close to him. This involves the CIA. That's great news for us. The CIA isn't going to let this drop. The media has to cover it. Congress will charge Bush not Ashcroft. This is the best news we've had come our way EVER. None of the other investigations involved the CIA.

I haven't heard anything about this, other than that he's hired a lawyer. Do you have a link that talks more about what these witnesses have said? Thanks

Witnesses told a federal grand jury President George W. Bush knew about, and took no action to stop, the release of a covert CIA operative's name to a journalist in an attempt to discredit her husband, a critic of administration policy in Iraq.

Their damning testimony has prompted Bush to contact an outside lawyer for legal advice because evidence increasingly points to his involvement in the leak of covert CIA operative Valerie Plame's name to syndicated columnist Robert Novak.
The move suggests the president anticipates being questioned by prosecutors. Sources say grand jury witnesses have implicated the President and his top advisor, Karl Rove.

White House spokesmen, however, dismiss the hiring of outside counsel as a routine precaution.

Sources within the investigation say evidence points to Rove approving release of the leak. They add that their investigation suggests the President knew about Rove's actions but took no action to stop release of Plame's name.

4. I Would Take This With a Grain of Salt Until It's Corroborated
For now I'm just happy Bush thinks he needs an attorney.

8. He'll probably perjure himself AFTER he's booted out of office.
America won't care by then.

7. I'm NOT Gonna Dance Until
I *SEE* these rat-bastards frogmarched out of the WH!

I still don't trust them not to get out of the noose! I won't be satisfied that justice has been done until every last one of these sponge-sucking wingless fungs is behind bars of facing a judge!

I want them INDICTED
I want them TRIED
I want them CONVICTED!

Then I'll do the Fandango on BROADWAY!

In 4 inch heels!

9. You don't rejoice until the monster goes down for the second time
There is always that moment when you think the monster has been defeated and then it resurges its ugly head to get one last scream from the audience before dutifully dispatched by the hero. I call this the Grendel's Mother Effect and Bush isn't going down for the final count until November. Until then, we have to keep working hard to defeat him.

Keep our eyes on the prize and the prize is LANDSLIDE victory of Kerry.

11. I visualize him in an orange jump suit with handcuffs on...
I'm not kidding - He's a war criminal, he's possibily guilty of treason (Plame), and if the 9/11 "conspiracy theorists" are right and it's either LIHOP or MIHOP he's a f'ing mass murderer. I don't believe in the death penalty but I don't know if Maryland has it or not (would he be convicted under Maryland or does DC do their own thing? In any case - let's hear him make fun of himself like he did the Texas death row inmate - if he's sentenced to death.
