Told Dick Morris his new book was a hatchet job on Hillary! (on NPR)
Edited on Thu Jun-03-04 01:31 PM by theivoryqueen
He was going on and on about how he wasn't trying to do a hatchet job - just "set the record straight" - though he admitted everyone has their opinion.... I made my first call to talk radio ever.
I had to read my comment so I wouldn't forget anything:

"Thanks for taking my call. Mr. Morris sounds a lot like a right wing apologist trying to do a not-so-stealthy hatchet job on Hillary. It is pretty obvious from his comments that he regards her in a negative light. Attempting to play both ends via the “I like her but she has flaws” argument is ineffectual and transparent. He should be honest and announce his real agenda. It’s the title of his book. Lastly - if he doesn’t like Clinton as VP – who’s his pick?"

He pithily commented it sounded like I was reading. Then host Glen Miller said he prefered that - made calls shorter! True - was a bit nervous, but was tired of sitting on my hands listening to a bunch of shit being paraded around as "unbiased fact". Morris responded that he was in no way right wing - laundry list of attributes followed.

However - the overwhelming tone of his interview was resoundingly anti-Hillary and Clintons in general.

Don't bad mouth worms - they do useful things - unlike Dick Morris.

4. well done..and at least you called NPR..that's respectable.
I always wonder why people bothered to call those wacko jobs like Insannity? It actually validates them, I'd rather they talked to dead air.

6. Someone should ask Morris why his first book, the one he wrote
after leaving the WH, is actually positive toward Hillary. Why the change? Could it be the paychecks from Rupert Murdoch?

9. One of the first comments from the host
was to read a review from NYTimes saying pretty much that the book was a Murderock financed hatched job. Of course Morris vehemently denied that.

BTW, I take great comfort in the fact the Big Dog's book will absolutely blow pathetic Dick's out of the water.

13. yes it will. Morris comments were it was to help Hillary get nod for VP
Edited on Thu Jun-03-04 01:45 PM by theivoryqueen
he also inserted that Clinton was holding a book signing in boston at the same time as the convention - his take was that it was obviously designed to show up Kerry - I think the phrases used were "show them it's still His party" and "Suck the air out of the room". He has an axe to grind and he's trying to get his point across.

7. Morris secretly worships and desires Hillary.
She's tough and smart and you just know he fantasizes it's Hillary dominating him when he's paying hookers to lick their feet.

14. I heard you on in Dallas.
"sounds like she is reading" Glen " I like it when people read there comments, it's faster". I don't understand why people don't like her. I think their scared of a woman with that much power.

about how they'd vote bush if Clinton got the VP nom. I don't understand why people hate her so much either. Doesn't make any sense. These are NPR listeners for crying out loud. Aren't they supposed to be "liberal" at least in their "openmindedness"?
