Poll question: All right. What month will the October Surprise happen?
Something scary is happening. When the top two guys at the CIA resign just as Bush leaves the country, the phrase "tip of the iceberg" comes to mind.

Someone posted the other day that October Surprise is an oxymoron, that we know it's in October, how is it a surprise? Maybe everything happening now has nothing to do with whatever surprise Bush has up his sleeve to tip the scales in his favor. What do you think?

And what do you think the October Surprise will be?

1. I am still going with October
Color me crazy, but I think the legs on the Tenet resignation story are going to get tired...quickly.

2. I have the feeling it just STARTS with June.
They'll be zinging us with diabolical "surprises" the rest of the year.

10. That's what I'm afraid of.
As each scandal afflicting the Bush misadministration gets progressively worse for them, so shall each "surprise" make things progressively worse for us. How low will they go?

7. For some reason, June 11th is an oft-referenced date today!
LBNers keep bringing up June 11th in the James Pavitt thread, and Shakespeare started this June 11th GD thread...

5. According to the new laws set down by Fox's TV REVOLUTION
The "October Surprise" will begin just as summer dawns.

6. How could it be an October surprise if it wasn't in October?
Of course, that doesn't mean there isn't a September surprise, or a July surprise cooked up as well. :grr:

Dole out a little in June, a little in July....clear til' October.

June 11th is my best friend's birthday: I'd hate to see something stupid and unfortunate happen anytime, but especially on her birthday...that would suck.

9. November
From ME Nov.3

After an ever narrowing of the Presidential election race there was a
close Victory declared this morning. Even though the results differed with many of the predictions, fears of errors were dispelled by the fact that almost all electronic voting machines had been equiped with printers that supplied voters with a paper record of their vote.

In other news there is a report Iran has WMDs ready to use on short notice at several locations.
