Hearing "I want to spend more time with my family" as an excuse for leaving office is getting REALLY old?

What's your suggestion for something new? (Some are from another blog)

besides "I want to spend more time with my family," he said he was leaving because he was concerned about the welfare of his family. And he focused on his son especially.

Am I the only one who wondered if he had been threatened in any way? Oh, I know it's tinfoil-ly of me. But I couldn't help wondering....
