Teresa Heinz Kerry... looking to me like she could be a real
pistol of a first lady.

"Heinz Kerry, who has been blunt in her public comments, also touched on her reputation for being outspoken.

"I have been known to speak my mind and express my opinions - maybe you've heard that," she said. "My hope is that at the end of this campaign or one day soon, women who have earned the right to their opinions won't be called opinionated."

5. Moneyed and opinionated
good for her. Speak out often and loudly, and while you're at it, kick ass and take names. Go Teresa!

I'm liking her more than him.

14. That would be good, but you still need to apologize...
... for Iron City Beer.

Or, as we used to call it while growing up, "Ahrn Shitty Beer". ;-)

I'm one of the people who applauded Howard Dean for NOT dragging his wife along on his campaign like a prop.

20. The Pubs will try to smear her like they did Hillary.
Seems like most of them like the old idea of the wife being the shrinking violet, stay in the background, quiet, and non-influential little lady. That's what it mostly was 30+ years ago.

I like women who are willng to voice their opinions, and are intelligent and capable too.

I live in the South now, and it seems like there are still LOTS of people around me who want to remain in the past where the MAN was the BOSS, and little wifie never overshadowed him!

I'm not saying Teresa should overshadow John, but it's a good think when she is capable of answering questions on her own, and won't let some media idiot slap her without hitting back!
