FAIR looks at NPR's guest list
http://www.fair.org/extra/0405/npr-study.html

Looks like FAIR is finding NPR to be sliding slightly to the right. This simply could be the result of the left not putting enough voices out in the field or making themself available enough. But the right is getting more representation on the Public Airwaves.

4. This should be a wake up call to the left
Not an indictment of NPR. The right is simply out marketting us. We need to cultivate voices and individuals that we can put up against the right. We need to organise. We need to fight back.

The DLC/DNC has been focusing on getting votes. They have abandoned the idea of building awareness in the public and getting people to vote based on information. Instead they are focusing on trying to appeal to whatever exists in the public eye. The right meanwhile has been focused on shifting the public eye. They have inundated the media and squelch any small attempt on the left to be heard. Its for this reason we have to fight back in ernest.

NPR is essence favors everything we believe in. The liberal position is based on appraising the facts and then determining the best course to make the system work better. The right in contrast depends on dogmatic opinion and belief and then trying to spin the facts to fit those opinions. Thus a nonbiased source of information does in fact favor the liberal stance. Thus we need to engage sources like NPR which still have a chance of being responsive to our attempts to correct their drift and bring them back to representing All Things instead of sliding into All Right Things.

6. We need to embrace George Soros and Co and get their....
dollars behind our think tanks and pundits. This is how the Right rose to such prominence and we must do the same NOW!

7. It needs to be more diverse than that
Soros and Co seem to be focusing on a few effective sources. We need more than one Moveon.org. We need to keep many voices in the arena. There seems to be a tendency to favor the most effective voice and support for other voices dries up quickly. Everyone wants to support the favorite. But it is the depth of voices as well as the presense that makes the difference. We need the takebackthemedia crowd as much as others. We need multiple vectors hitting the public.

3. When Republicans control Congress and the Presidency,
what do you expect?

They had a choice - move right or be totally defunded. They took the easy way out.
