1. That is what the media should be screaming at the top of their lungs
The Bureau should not be allowed to make up invisible jobs and add them to official numbers with the media not saying one word nor reporting on the experts who disprove Bush's funny numbers.

3. They are so obvious. It is hilarious that they think they are fooling
people. They know who they are, and better yet we know also.

8. Our Hobbit is correct in just about every post - but wrong on conclusion
today, in my opinion.

I would not dump on him and do not think we should dump on him.

:-)

4. This upsets me.
I work for a remodeling company and we have to call to verify customer orders and call prior customers to see how their installs went and if they are satisfied and if they'd like info on anything else. I make probably 300 calls every day and honest to goodness I speak to probably 200 people a day that say that they themselves or their spouse is laid off, unemployed, working for minimum wage because of a significant job loss. It is absolutely sickening and the Bush Machine keeps manufacturing these frigging pipe dreams about all the jobs out there.

By the way, the remodeling company is suffering because no one that WANTS home improvements can afford them. I pray every day that we don't end up laid off, too.

5. funny you all are mentioning this: Kathleen Hall Jamieson, today.......
on CNN just cited polling stats that show about fifty percent of voters surveyed in the 18 swing states have personal experience with/first-hand knowledge of friends/family who've lost jobs, which is statistically significant increase over the last period totalled.

she said this is not good for the junta, as it tends to reflect the "lyin' eyes" theory propounded here

however, she joined the starry eyed crowd at the end, saying all these new jobs might persuade these people that things are getting better, in the next survey round, thereby contradicting what she'd just said

very disappointing, as she's usually pretty non-partisan
