4. He's not the damn king!
This thinking may be what gets me the most. The president heads one of three equal branches of the federal gov't. He is not appointed by the gods, nor does his touch heal the sick.

And your point about Clinton is completely on the mark. When Bill was in office, people on shooting ranges used his picture as a target. Where was this asshole then?

8. I laugh when I hear someone say He's not the King.
Who cares....even if he thinks he is. I sure have heard lots of people in the UK criticizing the Royal Family!

Just be VERY VERY GLAD that he isn't king.....remember.....they stay ruling for life!!!!!!:nuke:

6. what's good for the goose
is good for the gander. or so they say. if the right wing wackos wanted to keep the highest office in the land sacred and shielded from criticism, they should never have set the precedent. one rule of thumb is never enact any law that could be misused when your party is no longer in power.

14. My husband says they have nothing except their opposition to us
that's why they must always attack and feign outrage when we defend ouselves--opposition is their private estate, and no one else is allowed there.

20. That's a TRICK statement!
Bush was never elected so he's an acting president, not a sitting president. Clinton was the last elected president. So the caller must have been defending Clinton.

...a picture of a freeper with a sign that spelled the word "moron" as "moran".

Do a little research before you bring up your next "pet peeve"...just makes you look like a freeper when you do that.

a long time ago. It didn't seem that the usage of the word in this thread was tongue-in-cheek, nor was the word in quotes.

Here's a goodie from one of those anti-American, dictatorship-loving, neo-Nazi sites (I won't name the board, but some may have a good idea which one it is). I am posting my rebuttal here, since those assclowns read DU more than their own board:

gator (aka 'gatortraitor')

I'm willing to imagine you weren't real keen on Bill Clinton... does that make you unpatriotic?

------------------------------------------------------

Can I take a shot at this USA4ME?

The answer is that being against Clinton is OK but being against Bush is unpatriotic.

The hypocrisy shines through!

There is a difference.

We all hated that scumbag Klinton because of his draft dodging and his domestic policies. For instance, he gave us the largest tax increase in the history of the US. He also lied his ass off every time he opened his mouth and had no respect for the military. I could go on and on but the bottom line is that his domestic policies sucked.

Prosperity sucks? My, what a Republican YOU are!

The difference with Bush is that we are at war now and any strong criticism of Bush’s foreign policy gives the terrorists hope that if they hold out long enough they can win. It has worked before. The North Vietnamese took note of all the assholes like Kerry and Fonda that marched in the streets of America and turned over the political victory that could not be won on the battlefield. The terrorists are looking at all you hate-Bush and blame America assholes with the same kind of anticipation.

Bush created the war. It is as phony as a three-dollar bill. Besides, we were at war during Clinton's term, yet he was attacked unmercilessly. Remember the infamous Trent Lott quote: "We can support the troops without supporting the President"? Memory lapse, Gatortraitor?

Understand now dipshit? If you want to protest go out and protest against abortion or high taxation or not guarding our borders. Don't go and protest against the President that is fighting against those that declared war on us and killed thousands of us.

I don't recall any Iraqis on the planes that were hijacked. Lots of Saudis, though. Why didn't we declare war on them? And I do recall many of you facist types protesting against Clinton. Does that make you 'Anti-American", fuck-knob?

Freepers are just a bunch of moronic jerkoffs who have no real grasp of reality. They preach "AMERICA AMERICA AMERICA" but they prefer a dictatorship. Well, if you don't like freedom of speech, Gatortraitor, then leave my country NOW and go start your own.

Better yet, why don't you just go fuck yourself. Or at least pull your head out of your ass, and remember that many died for the freedom for you to be a complete and utter idiot.
