"President Bush is no more steadfast than Tony Soprano is faithful."
That lined killed me! Great editorial in the Boston Globe.

http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2004/06/05/steadfast_bushs_amazing_flip_flops/

BUSH-CHENEY team likes to say president is "steadfast." And John Kerry is "flip-flopper." But Senator Kerry is bolted to floor compared to Bush. President Bush is no more steadfast than Tony Soprano is faithful...

It goes on to talk about Chalabi, forgotten Osama, and details Bush's flip-flops.

1. Too little too late, Globe.
They have written horrible crap about JK for 20 years. Now that it looks like the repukes may not be able to cheat their way to a second term, they start allowing anti-repuke op eds?

I question the editors' motives.

2. As a daily Globe reader, I disagree
They have posted anti-Bush editorials the whole time. But, they also post bad stuff about Kerry, too. It all depends on the writer. They have several liberal columnists on staff and a couple conservative ones.

They have always been critical of Kerry his entire career, that is true. But they have been equally if not more critical of Bush his entire presidency. That's nothing new.

5. I totally agree with you.
The Globe is mostly a liberal leaning paper, and has tried to print other points of view as well....(If you can actually call Jacoby's a "point of view more than blindadherence).

But what has been up with Scott Lehigh lately? What a refreshing change of direction he seems to have undergone!

3. This is a Great column. Print it out/save it and circulate it

Not only does it lay out the facts on Bush - I love the opening paragraph as it is unusually coarse and flippant (which is what people will remember) - it does just say, no Bush changes his mind too -- it says (bears repeating)

...."Senator Kerry is bolted to floor compared to Bush..."

"...President Bush is no more steadfast than Tony Soprano is faithful..." (my particular favorite as I can't stand the "steadfast" "resolute" nonsense.

This is a keeper!
