Do you think the common Republican really thinks of Bush* and America
Edited on Sat Jun-05-04 10:25 AM by Bandit
as being synonymous and that is why it is taking so long for them to distance themselves from the Bush* Cabal. Americans don't want to seem "Un-American" and this Administration has been very good at equating Bush* with America. If you don't support Bush* you are un-American. I think that is what is truly at the heart of his polling numbers. I find it very doubtful that very many people actually like what he has done and is doing but he is America and they don't want to go against their country. We need to figure a way of distancing Bush* from America. They are not one and the same and it can be the most patriotic thing a person can do to question their leaders and keep them in line. I truly think this is what we are up against. Most people are literally sick of Bush* but will support him because they support their country. Just keep them home on November second.

2. I like to remind them
that the only societies in which the leader is identified with the nation are totalitarian ones.

3. Corporations spend a lot of money on propaganda.
They have a lot of Americans fooled that the repugs are the party of patriotism. Look how corporations loot the treasury every time repugs are in power. All under the guise of patriotism. It will be a battle for the working man until more Americans are able to see past the lies. Right now, warmongering corporations control the country. I hope the disastrous results have opened a few eyes (and minds).

4. Yes they do think that, and here's why...
FAUX News, Mush Limpdick, and the rest of the PNAC/Clear Channel state run media hammer that message into their thick skulls daily. If you don't agree with every single thing Junior says and does, you're an unamerican communist terrorist sympathizer.

Saddam flew his personal lear jet into the World Trade Center? sure, why not.

Arresting American citizens who have committed no crimes, holding them without charges, and denying them communication with lawyers or family is an effective way of battling terrorism? Well DUHH!

It's not torturing prisoners in Iraq that's the problem. It's the goddamn liberal traitors reporting it! Of course. Who could disagree with that?

And we don't need to know WHO the terrorists are, as long as God tells Our Great President.

This is what these delusional fucks are told to believe, and most of them won't question any of it.

5. Rhetorical question, right?
Of course they equate the two. Scratch the paint off a vast majority of Repugs and you'll see the fascist beneath. Support the Fatherland by supporting the Fuhrer.

6. Throw it back at them with a sports analogy...
...the team's in a slump, so it's time to fire the coach/manager. Hell, even Dubya himself would understand that.
