Why should I have to pretend otherwise??

I feel sorry for his family, as a death in the family is always sad. But he is 93 years old and has had Alzheimer's for a decade! This is hardly a surprise to them. I, for one, am sure as heck not going to act grief striken when I'm not. I am actually totally indifferent to the gipper's life or death. If he lives a few more years in his deteriorated state I can't imagine that it would serve any purpose for him or his family. Is it bad for me to feel this way? If you think so please explain why I should fake sorrow over this?

1. There's no need to fake sorrow...
...I think that genuine compassion is what should be expected.

Reverence and passionate eulogizing isn't necessary...just empathy.

2. I share your sentiment. I
feel horrible for the emotional toil that he and his family has endured; but the man, as president, was a nightmare to working people.

3. Yes, I agree. I feel no sorrow for him.
I couldn't stand him when he was president. I don't wish death on anyone, but as you said the man is 93 years old. For Pete's sake, not many people live to be that old.
