arrive in Narita after a 12-hour flight, finally get to the hotel at about 9PM then have to be alert and functional for a 9AM client meeting. Did I mention this was in coach since the company I worked for wouldn't spring for business class? Not like Air Force One with a private bedroom on board.

Did it a few times. Sorry, can't sympathize much.

18. I just listened to
the war presidents speech on msnbc and a French journalist talked about what President Kennedy had once said, Every man has two country's America and France. The Moran Chimp answers that with "We also have a saying" There's America and then there's Texas! Now what in the Hell does that mean? Maybe I should not try to make sense of what the chimp says. My head hurts. :wow:

:wtf: Oh you think that's bad, what about this one.

"I know how hard it is to put food on your family," Bush was quoted as saying.

or this one

Bush was scripted to offer an old saying: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. What came out was the following:
"Fool me once, shame ... shame on ... you." Long, uncomfortable pause. "Fool me — can't get fooled again!"

What a dumbass!

15. Strange.
bush appears to be having significant problems dealing with the very real stress that he has created for the world, and for himself. I've often thought "how strange" that anyone would look at this fellow and see a "tough guy." (Like, how would he possibly qualify as Commander in Chief?) But he's not a tough guy, not even close.... he's a pampered, spolied brat .... and he does not seem to be doing well.

28. OK, but WAIT...Bush was seriously pissed off at the end of this conference
...look at some of the other threads. He reached the boiling point shortly before his "There is America and there is Texas" remark. He was asked if he was a terrorist and if what happened at Abu Gharib made him no better than Saddam.

He was extremely, supremely, PISSED OFF. When it was over he got an "I'm outta here" look. If you watch the first few seconds after he leaves the platform, he TRIPS...but catches himself...and regains enough composure to put on the fake smile.

But this man was PISSED and did not care who knew it.

38. "When he tries to talk about what this country stands for...
democracy, he can't do it,"

This, is why he's so closely watched by his handlers, Miller says — not because he'll say something stupid, but because he'll overindulge in the language of violence and punishment at which he excels.

"He's a very angry guy, a hostile guy. He's much like Nixon. So they're very, very careful to choreograph every move he makes. They don't want him anywhere near protestors, because he would lose his temper."

Miller, without question, is a man with a mission — and laughter isn't it.

"I call him the feel bad president, because he's all about punishment and death," he said. "It would be a grave mistake to just play him for laughs."

29. Bush is being his usual defiant self.
As he takes Chirac's hand, he looks down in sullen defiance. He says, "I'll not acknowledge you". Then, when their hands meet, he looks away as a further show of defiance. He shows all the signs of a little boy being forced to "say sorry to your brother". The parents push the two kids together in an effort to broker peace among the kids. That's exactly what it looks like.

Also notice Chirac's left hand as he shakes Bush's hand. He's got his index finger pointed directly at Bush's face. This is very deliberate, and he's doing it for his people. He wants to show them that he'll take no shit from this little shit.

Check out Bush's eyes. Look how puffy they are. His face also looks very swollen, like he's on a lot of medication.

Fool.

47. sleep problems
I think Dubya always acts like a doofus overseas (and embarrasses our country every time) ... and I think part of it (beyond his innate doofus-ness) is that he's a morning person ... he needs his nighty-night time ... and when he's jet-lagged (which he probably is for days after traveling), he looks drunk and drugged out. And acts weird. He acted like he was sedated when sitting next to the pope.
