A sensational account of an imploding George Bush is making the rounds.

It's by Doug Thompson, the publisher of Capitol Hill Blue, put out in the dawn hours of June 4.

"President George W. Bush's increasingly erratic behavior and wide mood swings has the halls of the West Wing buzzing lately as aides privately express growing concern over their leader's state of mind."

So begins Thompson's insider report. He goes on,

"In meetings with top aides and administration officials, the President goes from quoting the Bible in one breath to obscene tantrums against the media, Democrats and others that he classifies as 'enemies of the state.'

"It reminds me of the Nixon days," says a longtime GOP political consultant with contacts in the White House. "Everybody is an enemy; everybody is out to get him. That's the mood over there." He was obviously talking of late, Watergate-enmired Nixon, when a drunken president would rail on far into the night, and when Kissinger put it around that he had taken over command of the nuclear button.

And talking of the nuclear button, Thompson says he's interviewed, off-the-record, a number of White House staffers who talk of Bujsh declaring that his decisions are "God's will" and then tells aides to "fuck over" anyone they consider to be an opponent of the administration.

He quotes one aide as telling him, "We're at war, there's no doubt about it. What I don't know anymore is just who the enemy might be. We seem to spend more time trying to destroy John Kerry than al Qaeda and our enemies list just keeps growing and growing."

is essentially citing the CHB piece. Adds little to it. There are a couple of other items over on that site that do a better job, imo. This reads more like passing around the same information from the same exact source and saying... see now that a different person is covering it, it must be true - even though it is from the same source. The right does this all the time. We should be cautious.

Though there were things in the original piece that rang true. THink it is a watch carefully and keep reporting sort of item.

And it is a big if, then I have $5.00 that says Le Chimpster is gargling with Jack Daniels in the morning and having gin on his corn flakes.

I remember, all too well, the end of my he-man, two fisted drinking days. Paranoia? Disordered thinking? Oh yeah. You betcha. In spades.

If not, the diagnoses can run from seizure disorder to Wernicke-Kosikoff to TIAs to schizo-affectation or acute Bipolar mania.

Any way you slice and dice it, there is a growing body of evidence that this is a person you do not want making decisions about anything more important than where to put the flowers in the bed. Even then, it would be prudent to keep an eye on his happy ass.

I have just this morning decided that it doesn't matter if stories like this are true or not. One theory that the Pugs used so well against Clinton was "if you keep throwing shit at him, some of it's bound to stick." It's way past time that they tasted their own medicine.

Having said that, I do believe bu$h is losing what little grip on reality that he ever had. If he doesn't go as crazy as a boatload of ticks by Labor Day, I will be very surprised.

My take on the whole sorry mess is that bu$h never wanted this gig in the first place. He would have much preferred to lounge in the clubhouse talking whiskey and snatch with his lazy-ass peer group. I've said it before, I say it again. Bush is a classic Narcissist. I found a description called 'Malignant Narcissist'. I was doing a research piece for something else awhile back, BUT the description for this disorder fits Bush scary close. It's part of the sociopathic personality where one has no or very little conscience. No empathy. Willing to resort to lies and cheating to get their way. Basically shallow emotionally--ie: insecure.

He is so sure he is right and because of his over inflated ego, he CANNOT EVER admit fault.

BTW, I swear I saw a black eye on Laura a week ago or so when she was making a speech in front of god knows who. Unless she has a defect in her left eye that I don't know of?? The signs were there. Her left eye was swollen--heavily covered in makeup, it was darkened somewhat over her lid, and there was a slight bruise-like blemish next to the outter edge of that eye. A sock in the eye would be the typical response of someone who is unstable and on the edge and has been "challenged" in any way. Narcissists, again, CANNOT be told anything that goes against what they've built up in their own minds to be the only way things should go. They also treat things AND people as "possessions"...chattel. Anyone going against this personality would suffer some severe wrath and retribution.

Yes, he's burning out. Shame on us for making him work until dark. :P Thank goodness for Karl Rove's mellifluous voice that's piped into his ear piece during speeches. Bush is so toasted he can't even read off of the TelePrompters since the first UN Speech (2002). He's not used to hard work, therefore, his exponential aging process (even more so than other recent Presidents), it's poetic justice for a man not nearly as intelligent or ambitious to properly serve as our President.
