Suskind: when asked today at the book fair what impact Reagan's
death would have in the elections (actually they are talking about it right now).
He said it could be positive if the RW spin can cast some of the already spinned Reagan reflection on Bush*. But, he also said, Reagan learned in office, second guessed himself, and wrote very nice letters that were published in a book... and Bush* would not look good by comparison.

1. Donna Brazille remembered Reagans "optimism" that was not
real because he really communicated the idea that if you were poor you did not deserve much. She hoped that this attitude would be buried with him.

4. Linda Chavez is already in spin mode: Bush* is the real successor
of Ronald Reagan. Bush* has not done what Reagan did: talk directly to the people and not go through the media.... Bwahahahahahaha (they own the media, you b**ch!)
Suskind said: it would be nice if Bush* could write some of his own speeches and be able to deliver them as well as Reagan.
Dowd: Reagan's attitude towards the world was not like Bush*: he wanted to be feared AND revered. Bush* forgot the second part of the equation. Nancy does not seem to like Bush* and she preferred McCain. She wanted to see if Clinton was more fiery than Kerry and people told her that Clinton did not want to seem fiery right now because he wants to sell more books than Hillary, but he will be fiery later.

O'Rourke says that the two candidates will suffer because Reagan had clarity. Bush* with his unfunded NCLF and Medicare (which cost more than they said) is not eliminating government interference in the economy.... WHATEVER!!! Then he tells a joke about a pig that is really stupid about the Democrats.

5. When you see those clips of Reagan on TV
and then hear Bush make his speech about Reagan's death, the contrast is night and day.

I did not vote for Reagan (my daughter was the only one in her elementary school class who was against Reagan), but I love the contrast between Bush and Reagan's speeches.

It's ironic but Kerry and Reagan have some physical resemblance. And NBC pointed out that Reagan signed a liberal abortion law while governor of California. I hope the Kerry supporters remember that.

Also, Kerry gave a very classy statement about Reagan's death.

6. This past year I have seen a lot of comparisons of * to RR with * looking
like a complete idiot. RR was not exactly a genius and was ridiculed about how smart he was but compared to Shrub he is friggin Einstein. He actually wrote speeches and read books and thought about policy.

It just shows how pathetic Shrub is by comparison and how low the standard for being Prez has fallen.
