How does a body (like Reagan's) "rest" when its dead?

That's just going to return to the clay. It's the soul that is wished to rest in peace and not turmoil. If you don't believe in a life to come it is just nonsense. For those of us who believe in the resurrection it's a prayer of mercy. And I who had an intense dislike for the actions of the man in life am praying for God to have mercy on him-as I hope He does on me. My special prayer for all who die especially those who have lived with strong opinions and actions is that they don't have a spiritual heart attack when the learn the truth - this goes for me too. We just don't really know much but we think we know it all - just like our predecessors who swore the earth was flat.
