2. Thanks for the extra kick, didn't see it the first time
This is interesting to hear Frank talk about why the working class poor is supporting Bush and conservatism.

3. It's a great show
I think often the liberal/left fails to understand the conservative mindset. Populist conservatism could just as easily be swayed left, but the Right is masterful at pealing them away and playing on reactionary tendencies based on social issues like abortion, gays and guns.

4. Somehow, this interview brings it home
Didn't really realize how important it is that the GOP uses social divisive issues as their major tool. It is something I knew they did, but didn't realize it was a foundation block of their party.

5. yep
I hope a lot of people are listening, or will read Frank's book. This is an important argument. Marx's "false consciousness" is still in full effect when, like Bob said earleir in the show, "poor people make rich people's arguments for them."

6. So, there is no where for the Democratic party to go
If they go left and speak for the base, they will get the numbers but will not get the money. If they keep the DLC meme, they are just sophisticated businessmen who have the money but not the votes.

This election is Bush's to lose. Kerry should remain on vacation until November.

7. Organized people can beat organized money
But to organize those people they must first be informed. Working class folks -- the so-called Reagan democrats -- voting for republicans are grossly misinformed.

I don't think dems should throw in the towel yet, but DLC strategies are born-losers.

8. But as the previous interview with David Brock illustrated
The Right has everyone blinded and they have media control. Even to hear this show I have to remember to turn on my computer on a Sunday afternoon.
