How much are WE paying for the Reagan-neocon love fest
in DC this week? Flying the corpse to DC, horse-drawn caisson to the capitol he rarely spent time in, state funeral in the Darth Vader National Church, then back to Cali to be planted at is library.

1. Its a State Funeral
and the same would be provided for any former (or current) President who passed on.. unless they resigned in disgust, of course.

2. Good question. More distraction at the tax payers expense.
I fully support a formal and respectful service and tribute to Ronald Reagan and his presidency, but this sounds as though its a production to create a false image more than anything and to re-write a little history while theyre at it.

Reagan was said to have been a kind, caring man, and I believe it. You couldnt look at the man and not see some kindness there.

However, he was apparently more than simplistic in his cognitive abilities and seemed to have a total disconnect between reality and his illusions, or some might say, delusions.

I would say no matter how big the props and set design pulled out for this production are, the Republicans attempt to dazzle the public with a bad presidency is more like creating a budget blaster movie like Waterworld.

No matter how much pomp and circumstance, they ought to save *our* money and theirs as well.
Instinctively, Americans know the truth.

We know whats quality and what know whats not. In leadership, the same most certainly applies. Ronald Reagan may have had many good qualities. His qualities as a president were sorely absent. History has been a pretty accurate guide.
