Did you know that Reagan served in D-Day?
If you watch too much Fox or CNN, you'll come away with that impression.

6. That is an insult to the men who did...
A former neighbor of mine was actually there and he was a great man. He'd probably kick some butt if he heard something like that. RIP Harry. I know that you won't see Reagan in heaven my friend.

10. He did not, but Yogi Berra did.
I just heard that Friday. Yogi was in the Navy and on one of the ships that took troops over to Normandy. The report said he doesn't talk about it much.

I recall reading that the combat-weary soldiers were also weary of seeing poseurs coming around to act like they were part of the 'band of brothers'......

18. Yep, he also...
...wrote the Constitution, won the Mexican War, freed the slaves, invented the light bulb, developed the theory of relativity, designed the first four generations of American fighter planes, ended the Depression by firebombing New Deal agencies, commanded the fleet at Midway, planted the flag at Iwo Jima (alongside John Wayne), piloted the Enola Gay, saved Stalingrad from the Germans, shot Mussolini, destroyed over 80% of the German emplacements in Operation Overlord, ended Communism when every previous POTUS had sought to facillitate the spread of domestic Communism, and flew the first solo flights to the moon and Mars.

Gee, haven't you been watching TV?

19. I know ... I was confused by all of the "Normandy" references ...
until I remembered the Peggy Noonan speech he gave there. :smacks head: I actually heard one talking head refer to his "performance in Normandy." Since when is it the job of the press to keep the uninformed uniformed?
